Starting an Etsy Shop! Something I never thought I would hear myself say

I’ve had a 3D printer for about a year now. It’s been fun to learn some new things and even try my hand at some 3D design work (harder than it looks!). I even designed my own Nespresso box holder and a custom stand for my TV antenna, but alas, I have a long way to go with my own design work.
I started printing some pretty basic things off the internet, but then over the year I was baffled as my kids would visit gift shops and be amazed and want to spend their allowance on 3D printed toys. “But we have a 3D printer!” I would exclaim. So that lead me in search of where everyone was getting these cute models they were selling. Turns out, there are a handful of artists that sell the most popular prints, and you can pay for their (excellent) designs.
At first I only did it so that I could print some stuff for my kids and give some stuff away to friends and family. But I guess this is the course of how things go, I’m now offering them up for sale to the world. I printed my first few items (a cute 3D printed flexi horse stable and a cute barn with 3d printed flexi farm animals) and hung my shingle: Treehouse Toys.
It’s an experiment, admittedly I’m well aware this isn’t the path to millions of dollars in profit, but its fun and I like doing it!
